For a good start to the day, you can use this elixir as a topping for your breakfast yogurt or warm oatmeal. It also tastes delicious as a dessert drizzled over vanilla ice cream, as a drink (stir in hot, non-boiling water or warm milk) or as an ingredient in smoothies and juices.
For 1 cup (240ml)

- ½ cup of mild honey, preferably raw
- ½ cup of pulp of ripe passion fruits (approx. 6 fruits)
- 2 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger
- 1 heaped teaspoon of turmeric powder / 1 tablespoon of freshly grated turmeric root
- 1 zest of a lemon
- 2 pinches of freshly ground black pepper
Grate the ginger and lemon zest, halve the passion fruit, spoon out the pulp and seeds for half a cup. Set aside.
Put the honey in a jar and add the pulp, grated ginger, turmeric, lemon zest and ground pepper. Mix well and cover covered in the fridge for 30-60 minutes. The longer it rests, the better the tastes develop and connect. Stir before serving. Consume within a week.
Chia pudding with berries & honey passion fruit elixir
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- ½ cup almond milk or other nut milk
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup of Greek yogurt or a milk-free yogurt
- 2 – 4 tbsp honey passion fruit elixir
- Fresh seasonal fruit, e.g. sliced peaches / nectarines, strawberries & raspberries, washed and chopped.
- 2 – 4 tbsp chopped almonds / muesli
For the chia pudding, put the chia seeds, vanilla extract and nut milk in a container. Cover and shake vigorously a few times. Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (preferably overnight). Stir before serving.
Divide the yogurt into two small bowls and spread the chia pudding evenly with a spoon over it. Drizzle the honey passion fruit elixir over it, add the fruits and berries and garnish with fresh mint leaves, roasted almonds or your favorite cereal.
